Sorry, the alliteration was too enthralling, I couldn't resist. Hee...
Anyhow, I stayed up 'til about 4 last night (this morning) talking to some people. And by some people I mean Andrew (ex-bf), Jesse (friend), and Tristan (also friend).
I proclaimed myself princess of the universe and then Andrew corrected me by saying I didn't want that because the universe wouldn't revolve around me as it is expanding away. Damn him and his stupid smart boy logic.
So Andrew and I are on talking terms again and it doesn't fell entirely awkward anymore (and yes, I'm well aware you read my blog entries AJ so this is officially telling you we're friends) - and I can make this official statement because I'm the princess of the solar system. Isn't life wonderful under my jurisdiction? (hahaha feel free to pelt me with tomatoes, though I'd prefer marshmallows as they are much softer and sweeter).
Hmm... Emily's birthday party was great, we watched the Dark Knight and played Clue. I had to leave in the first round of Clue coz dad showed up but it was still fun nonetheless. I didn't think I'd like batman, but I did... and Christian Bale is a hunk. =]
Was very comfortable seating too, with a really ridiculously soft blanket, Evan to lean on, and Tristan and Scott as footrests. And M&Ms, can't forget those.
So... I have about a week and a day and a half of school left before winter holidays yay! Not going to the Jay Chou concert because tickets are sold out =[ because I'm a lazy bum and couldn't be bothered getting them earlier.
Oh yes, and I'm out of lipbalm. I've never faced this dilemma before. I've always had more lipbalm than know what to do with but right now i've used all of the stuff I have (well... all of the stuff I will use because I'm allergic to a lot of lipbalm). For the record I use Yes to CarrotsTM (I don't know how to make the TM superscript).
Ermm... yeah, procrastinating homework right now ;) coz I'm super good at that.

What's happening in December? + Wisdom teeth
So my wisdom teeth have been coming in for the past week and giving me hell, haven't chewed on the left side of my mouth for ages =[ buut, it feels a little better today and I went to see the dentist who told me they could stay in because they're coming in nice and straight. Yay?
I got a new laptop for Christmas, for all those interested it's an HP Pavilion dv5-1138nr Entertainment Notebook PC. All I can say is that it's very shiny and very pretty and very fast =D and I love it lots. Again if anyone's interested the specs are:
RAM: 4GB
Hard drive: 250 GB
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5800 @ 2.0GHz
Operating system: 64-bit
And it's running on Windows Vista home premium
Hmmm what else is new? I'm really behind on a lot of hmwk so I should be doing that but knowing me... hahaha
Here are some dates to note for December (although this affects no one else):
9th - Boys next door (school play)
12th - Emily's birthday party
19th - Battle of the bands @ the Space (habitat for humanity fundraiser concert)
21st - Jay Chou concert at Mohegan Sun Arena @ 2am =D
23rd - Minimum day then winter holidays
25th - Going to Atlanta for winter vacation as well as Florida (Disneyland)??
back on maybe the 31st or so...
2nd Jan - Tristan's 18th at the Hyatt Hotel (excited!)
5th Jan - school starts again *death to education*
Yeah so this month looks pretty good, not sure if I can go to the Jay Chou concert though coz it's soon and the tickets may be sold out and its kinda expensive.
<3 you all and still (unsurprisingly) missing you guys heaps

New blog
We've all seen this post before... Lisa has a new blog. Whoo... what's the difference this time?
I'm keeping this one!
This blog will be to update things about me =] and the other will just be my ramblings, rants, and angry curses at the world.
Link:
www.anarchistnexus.blogspot.com
(although Anna managed to find it without me flashing neon signs - not that I consider this a neon sign mind you. Okay, I'm just going to shut up now)

The golden leaves outside are beautiful
I've finally finished applying to one University (Brown)... yay? I'm not sure how to feel, and I'm not sure if I want to get into Brown. Life would be so much easier if I stayed in New Zealand, purely because I'm familiar with the processes and everything - but easier may not be better right?
Anyhow, it is Autumn (or is it Winter? I don't know...) and the sun-ray illuminated leaves outside are gorgeous. I could stare at them for hours and yet I'm watching episodes of Gossip Girl online (what is wrong with me?)... no seriously, what's wrong with me?
This show is so superficial and yet I'm somewhat addicted to it like I'm addicted to Grey's Anatomy and House... wow, my life revolves around TV shows, it must be boring.
There's someone doing gardening across the road, I wish I could go over and help him even though I hate bugs and dirt. It would be something productive to do. Eh... on second thought, he's mowing the lawn and that's kinda boring.
Idk if I mentioned my turtles but I got two baby turtles, they're about 4cm in diameter each and they don't move very much but I presume that's because they're hibernating. My 3 shrimp are doing fine =] which means I haven't done anything wrong, a good thing because I haven't actually done anything for them.
Currently loving country music too... don't ask. It's good.
Hmm... spent Halloween at a friend's house watching old movies and then came home and ate my brother's trick-or-treat plounderings hehe. There's a party tonight but I don't think I'll go, it's just the usual group of people getting trashed and making fools of themselves.
Can't wait to get my liscence and drive to school instead of having to take the bus or getting picked up/dropped off by the parentals, it's really depressing to have to work to other people's schedules.
The painting of the girl that I did got plenty of recognition which is kinda cool, teachers and random students have come up to me telling me they love it. Makes up for the art block I'm currently going through.
No current news on the boy front, went to a movie a few weeks ago with this one guy (don't know if I've already said this or not - that's the trouble with irregular updating) anyway, he paid for the movie and drove. Made out in his car afterwards (no frission whatsoever). Barely any contact anymore. Hmm... cute boy in my bio class and another in my English class, both Jewish -sigh- our town is over-run with Jews. It's not necessarily a bad thing, just that there's only so much you can take of their snobbish ways. It's not just the Jews too, which brings me to my next point. Living here has made me so stereotypical and perhaps even racist. In a way it's because the people live up to their stereotypes but does that make stereotyping acceptable?
I hate my good qualities and flaws being attributed to my race. I'm who I am and it's not fucking because I'm Asian, thank you very much. I'm not ashamed to be asian, it's a part of who I am. But I am not smart because I'm Asian; I'm not artistically talented because I'm Asian; and just because I look Asian doesn't make it okay for people to continously point out that I am.
No one goes around pointing and going "Italian-American, Jew, Irish, British, Australian, Kiwi, Polish, Hungarian etc.", so just because we're easier to spot and distinguish, doesn't mean it's okay for people to do so.
God I'm so sick of this shit sometimes and yet I do it myself. I wish someone were here to slap me and tell me to be better than that.
Parents are with brother at some soccer parade because their team just won the state cup. Yay for him =]. Ugh... I know where my life is going and yet I feel like I don't really have direction.
I feel as if I'm in the identity foreclosure stage, where my goals and aspirations have been set and I'm on the road to meeting them but the goals and aspirations aren't mine. The problem is, I don't know if I'd be happy doing what I want and I really do not need the "I told you so" speech from my parents if it doesn't work out.
Fine arts would be a really risky industry to go into right now because of the depressed world economy... agh, whatever. I've been through this debate in my head and with my parents way too many times.
The grass that the guy is cutting across the road looks really good now.
Haha, that was such a disjointed thought.
Anyway, just going through a bit of an identity crises atm. Will get through it soon (hopefully :p).
Love, peace, and cookies.

Laziness
I've been slacking - not blogging and all... but lately it's been pretty hectic what with school starting and looking up colleges and starting college applications etc.
Still have to decide on the final schools to apply to... eeeeeh.
My subjects this year:
1. US History II lvl. 1
2. Expos Writing lvl.1 / World Literature lvl.1
3. AP Psychology
4. Calculus lvl.1
5. AP Studio Art
6. AP Biology
No more gym for me! Although I may join a gym class once they start their badminton unit heh coz I'm cool like that.
There isn't really much else to tell... hmm... yeah. Left my ipod in the art room yet again, god dammit. Have a tonne of homework to do.

Random thoughts
So these thoughts just came to mind while I was taking down biology notes (lol, typical)... and I can't really put them together in a cohesive way thus I apologize in advance for any confusion that may arise due to my poor grammar and writing structure.
So when I was reading/writing notes on behavioral biology, I noticed that humans are such sadists in comparison to most animals (except for ones like cats who enjoy "playing" with their prey before actually killing it). I mean we teach animals like dogs and such to perform tricks for rewards; however, those animals will continue to perform those tricks when we discontinue the rewards. Isn't this taking advantage of their optimistically simplistic minds? Sure they're not psychologically capable of figuring out that the reward isn't coming every time (especially if the trainer confuses the dog by rewarding at random intervals), but it's still pretty cruel to make a dog believe that they'll be given a treat every time they do a trick.
Next topic would be... as usual, sex. Haha, just kidding, it's only somewhat about sex... Anyway, this was when I was reading about Darwinian fitness (reproductive success) and it made me feel opposed to arranged marriages. Perhaps you don't get how they're related straight away, but consider this: arranged marriages are fundamentally opposing Darwinan fitness and natural selection. Who cares if the guy/girl is rich or successful or whatever? They must lack something important to be incapable of finding themselves a mate (this does not apply tho countries where arranged marriages are the only way to become eloped). If a person can't attract a mate to themself then they pretty much don't have the right to reproduce because their offspring will be equally as lacking. Sex is originally and fundamentally meant for reproduction, if you can't find a mate to reproduce with, it pretty much means you shouldn't.
(disclaimer: I'm willing to make exceptions, there are exceptions to everything so no, you cannot stone me - besides which, this is America :p free country. 1st ammendment hahaha).
Just a couple of facts in my bio book:
- lengthening exposure to sunlight results in neural and hormonal changes that induce behavioral association with reproduction. No wonder there are so many babies born 9 months after Summer! This also explains people's tendencies to have summer flings (although I will take into account how people loose inhibition in a foreign country anyway).
- Red coloration of body parts tend to trigger either aggressive or sexual behavior in many species with color vision. This explains bulls (who charge at red objects that flutter about) and people also lol, no wonder Wilson didn't want people wearing the promiscuous "red" to prom because it was le color of le whore ;) - I don't know why I replaced "the" with "le", it just sounds more moulin rouge-ish I suppose.
For the record, I painted my fingernails and toenails bright red *before* I read this. No wonder men find bright red lipstick sexy.

I'm doing this again. Why? Because I can. Hey, that rhymes.
- Start with your name: Lisa
- What do you hear right now? The traffic outside and my ringtone...
- Do you believe everything you hear? Percentage-wise I believe about 70% of the stuff I hear, of course this depends on who's telling me what.
- What are you wearing right now? Pyjamas... basically a muscle top and shorts.
- Is there anyone you would die for? Of course, there are these things I call family and close friends and well, to fit into either one of those categories isn't easy.
- Where were you at 10:45 AM today? I was lying in bed talking to someone on the phone trying to fall back asleep.
- How long have you been breathing? I presume 17 or so years but I forget to breathe all the time... so who knows?
- What's the best eye color for the opposite sex? Blue-green, still.
- Who was the last girl you hugged? Monika I think... or her mom lol
/INTERESTING!/
- Is it easy for others to make you feel awkward? Nope not really, the other way around though ;)
- Are you taller than 5'5"? Wtf is with these height questions?
- If you're being extremely quiet what’s it mean? "fuck off" I'm tired/lazy/don't like you.
- Are you into anyone? Only those who are unobtainable.
- What time did you go to bed last night? I tried to sleep early, I think it was round 12:30?
- What are you doing tomorrow? I have my last prep class tmrw... I presume that's all I'm doing, who knows?
- Does anyone like you? Unfortunately.
- What were you doing an hour ago? Trying to sleep through a phone convo.
- What will you do Friday? Idk, I never really plan that far ahead.
- Are you married? Maybe someday when I'm no longer a teenager and find someone worthy of marriage.
- Do you have any piercings? 3 on my right ear, 2 on my left.
- What is one thing you want right now? A car and my drivers liscence.
- Do you love anyone? My family (this includes friends who I consider family)
What is your natural hair color? Blackish brownish blondish... weird.
- Have you ever been awake for 48 hours? duh.
- Do you like your first name? It doesn't bother me.
- What are your initials? LWL or WLL lol
- How do you feel about chocolate-covered strawberries? They're pretty over-rated, fondue strawberries really aren't that amazing.
- Any tattoos? Not that I know of.
- Do you like the color gray? Sure, I'm wearing it right now.
- Is there anyone you really can't stop thinking about? Nope, I have a lotta other stuff to concentrate on.
- Look outside, how's the weather? It's sunny, slight breeze, turning cloudy. Perfect for a day in the park or the beach, too bad this sad little kitty can't drive.
- Are you jealous of anyone right now? All those who have their liscence and Josh who's in Europe on vacation.
- Last time you ate grilled cheese? Does baked form count? About a week ago?
- How are you feeling? Unsure about whether or not to procrastinate the day away or actually get some work done.

- Who was the last person to really make you laugh? Don't remember...

I am the girl...
This was originally from a private blog between me and AJ but this is what I wrote and isn't too personal and I think it can apply to lots of people, so I'm re-posting on here.
I am the girl...
Who has had to pack her life up countless times and leave her friend/family behind without looking back.
Who has been called cute or pretty on many occassions when all she wanted was for one person to say beautiful.
Who has done so many shitty things but been forgiven by those people and to this day still marvels at the amazing friends she has.
Who constantly forgets that the world doesn't revolve around her and demands unreasonable things from everyone.
Who has always been a bit quirky, a little unique and up until a year or two ago been afraid to show it.
Who believes that friends are those who should and would stand behind you and support you no matter what you are like, no matter what you do. At least true friends should.Who considers some of her friends as close as if not closer than family.
Who trips over flat ground and then cracks up laughing while her butt/face is still splat on the ground.
Who tries to get out of a relationship as soon as she is in it but is growing more sense as she ages.
Who believes TV dramas aren't as eventful as her life.
Who is too lazy to walk the three metres to the TV and will sit there for hours watching the same boring program.
Who cries more through movies than in real life.
Who doesn't like to make enemies but will be herself even if everyone else think she's insane.W
ho dislike people who are like herself because they make her a little less unique.

Anyway the point is, that although we may have similar views and thoughts about the world we differ in that I don't give half a shit about what people think about me either because I already have the certainty of people loving me for who I am or because I know that sooner or later I'll be leaving this place and those people that can't accept me for who I am will no longer factor into my life. It's difficult to really miss someone unless they've played a big part in your life, you don't let others into your life, like, really let them in and thus it's reasonable to not be missed. The difference between us is that I crave attention more than I fear what others think of me, you on the other hand keep that fear from making you stand out.You are the kid in the corner I've always wondered about, the one that stays quiet and keeps to themselves, the one that gets their work done and never causes much trouble; the one I've always wanted to go up to and say "hey, I'm Lisa, wanna have lunch with us?"
When I first started at Amity, it was a little difficult because the people here reacted to things differently. But soon enough I found people who could accept me and like me. I don't think that it's because I'm a particularly amiable person or anything, I just think there are people out there who anyone can relate to, that you can always find someone(s) who are willing to accept you for who you are and are happy to include you into their lives. You just have to be ready to show people who you are. How do you know that they wont like you?Sure I've gotten lost along the way but the people and places that have affected me enough are like little anchors or flares that show me where I can always head toward if I ever get lost.

Wussy, feathery-stroker men...
I just finished watching "Made of Honor" featuring Patrick Dempsey... and all I have to say is, what the hell is wrong with normal guys? Where have they all gone?!
Media has featured men to be more and more feminine, I'm not saying that having a sensitive side and whatnot is bad but seriously, there are some guys who are so borderline gay they'd make life better if they just admitted their sexual orientation.
No, I'm not saying Patrick Dempsey is gay, I'm saying all the characters he portrays in "enchanted", "grey's anatomy", and "made of honor" really embrace their feminine side a little too much. It's nice to have a guy who cares about the little details and stuff, but please, why can't that be paired with the ability to hold themselves up in a bar brawl? Are the only "men" left in the world Southerners, Irishmen, and Scots?
Where have all the real men gone?!
